Honor the Grade: The Soulman’s Guide to Teacher Appreciation

Class is almost out for the summer.

At Soulman’s Bar-B-Que, we’ve always believed that if you’re going to do something, you do it with a whole lot of heart. Since we first opened our doors in Pleasant Grove on October 19, 1974, we’ve been more than just a restaurant; we’ve been a neighbor. And as any good neighbor knows, there is one group of people who have earned a serious “Thank You” as we hit the home stretch of the school year: our teachers, administrators, and school nurses.

Beyond the “Run of the Mill” Thank You

We’ve all seen the generic boxed lunches or the “run of the mill” deli trays that usually find their way into a faculty lounge. While the thought is nice, we don’t think a cold sandwich quite captures the gratitude we feel for the folks pouring into our students every day. These hardworking men and women are the backbone of our North Texas community, and they deserve a meal that’s as hearty, dedicated, and “Not Stingy” as they are.

This May, we’re inviting you to join the Soulman’s family in making Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8) and Nurses Week truly legendary. Whether you’re a parent wanting to show a favorite educator some love or a PTA coordinator planning a campus-wide celebration, we’re tickled pink to help you bring the smoke to the schoolhouse.

The “Not Stingy” Way to Say Thanks

We’ve made it simple to show your support with hospitality that feels like home:
